Twelve

Autumn didn't feel too well after finding out that she was pregnant. Her daily routine now consisted of throwing up twice, being annoyed by absolutely everything and craving tons of chocolate and Ben & Jerry's.
Somehow, Sarah was the person that annoyed Autumn the most. This could be because Sarah had started a relationship with Jacob's friend and team mate, Shawn Matthias, right after Autumn found out she was pregnant.
And it didn't exactly help that they spent most of their time in Autumn and Sarah's apartment.
“Get a room, will you?” Autumn said to them when they were kissing in front of the TV.
“What's up with her?” Shawn asked, raising his eyebrows. Sarah sighed.
“Everything annoys her nowadays. She's very hormonal... You know, that's what happens when you get pregnant.”
   “She's pregnant?”
   “Yeah- didn't you know?”
   “No! Whose is it?”
   “Jacob's...”
   “Jacob... As in Markstrom?”
   “Yeah...”
   “Wow, were they irresponsible or...?”
   “No, the condom broke.”
“And she's not on the pill?”
   “I guess not. I-”
“I would appreciate it if you stopped talking about my personal life, thanks.” Autumn snapped from the kitchen.
Sarah bit her bottom lip and rolled her eyes at Shawn. Autumn rushed past them and out through the door.
“Where are you-” Sarah was cut off by the door slamming shut behind Autumn.
She hurried out and into her car, where she turned the radio up and drove as fast as she could towards Jacob's house.

Five minutes later, Jacob heard three quick knocks on the door and when he answered it, Autumn threw her arms around his neck and pulled him close.
Surprised, Jacob closed the door behind Autumn and placed his hands on her back.
“Hey, what's wrong?” He asked her as they pulled apart.
“I need you. I need to see you, talk to you, just be with you. You're not busy, are you?”
“No...” Jacob said, scratching the back of his head. “Why the sudden urge to see me?” He smiled, as usual. Smiling seemed to be one of his favourite activities.
“I felt lonely.” Autumn admitted. “Sarah and Shawn are acting like newlyweds, and no one understands me.”
“I won't understand you either, though.” Jacob said. “Since I've never been pregnant, I have no idea what you're going through.”
Autumn smiled for the first time in a long time and sat down in front of Jacob's TV.
   “Is there anything good on?”
“I don't know.” Jacob said, setting himself down next to Autumn. “Check if HBO's got anything good.”
Autumn found The Perfect Man on one of the movie channels and she squeaked.
“I love this movie!” She said and hid the remote behind her back. “Can we watch this, please?”
After experiencing his mother being pregnant, Jacob knew exactly how to handle pregnant women. Saying no was not a good way to handle one.
“Sure.” He said and leaned back, putting his arm around Autumn's shoulders as he did so. He expected her to pull away from him but instead, she crawled closer and leaned against him.
“How many times have you seen this movie?” Jacob asked, after watching Autumn mime the lines.
   “I don't know, fifteen maybe...”
   “So it's that good, huh?”
   “Yeah! Now shush!”
Jacob smiled again. He had never even heard of this movie but if Autumn was happy, so was he.

An hour into the movie, Autumn looked up to see whether Jacob was sleeping or actually watching, and she was surprised to see that his eyes were on the TV.
However, Autumn couldn't bring herself to look at the TV again. Her eyes were fixed on Jacob's face. His beautiful face. And she completely forgot why she wanted to stay away from him.
After a few minutes, Jacob noticed her staring and looked down at her.
“What?” He asked, smiling yet again.
“You...” Autumn swallowed and her voice broke into a whisper. “You're beautiful...” She dropped her gaze, only to have him kiss her forehead.
“So are you.” He said, swallowing as well. They looked into each other's eyes for a good minute before their lips crashed together and Jacob was lying on top of Autumn.
Autumn's hands were running through his hair while he used his arms to avoid crushing her with his weight.
“Jacob...” Autumn said when he kissed her neck. “I want you.” Jacob stopped kissing her and looked into her eyes.
“Really?” He asked. “'Cause I want you too.

[Miss Autumn is responsible for this 'scene'. I had nothing do to with it! lol]

It was then she realized what her memory had missed due to her drinking.
Jacob stood up and gently picked her up, bridal-style, and carried her into his room.
“This was where it happened” He said softly, placing her on the bed. “Last time.”
The moonlight was streaming through the curtains in the window as Jacob crawled on top of her. Autumn was mesmerized, looking into his eyes, brighter green with the light. She felt her body go into a spasm as he kissed her, trailing down her neck. Why was he so good at this?
She tugged at his t-shirt and watched him pull it off. Jacob was skinny, she knew that, but he was chiseled, with nicely crafted six pack abs. She ran a hand over them.
“You know, you’re sober this time” He said with a little smirk, showing those dimples that made her heart skip a beat. “You can say no.”
Autumn smiled at him. “No, Jake....I definitely, soberly, want you.”
Permission given, they both slowly peeled off their clothes, leaving them in small piles on either side of the bed. Each took time to explore the other. This time they wanted to remember it. Removing his last piece of clothing, Autumn saw the part of him she’d wished she had remembered from before.
Gaping, Autumn whispered.
“You’re so...” Jacob felt his cheeks turn red.
   “Yes, I know...if you’d rather-”
“I can handle you, I know I can.” Autumn insisted, continuing to stare. “I did once before.” It seemed that his package, like the rest of him, came in size large.
Jacob looked her in the eye and she nodded. It was time. Lying down on her back, Autumn left his big hands part her thighs. He used his arms to support his weight, nervous that he might hurt her, or the precious cargo within her. She watched him press into her; rhythmic and with ease.
“Jake...oh my god...” she whispered, pulling him down and wrapping her arms around his shoulders, “Please, don’t stop...”
Autumn’s body felt more sensitive than ever before. The tiniest movement from him inside her sent waves of pleasure coursing through her, intense enough to make shiver. It felt, in a word, amazing.
From what she remembered, it hadn’t been like this. What Jacob was doing now, wasn’t just sex. He was making love, and to her, only her. It was just the two of them, no one else was in the world, or even in the universe as far as she was concerned.

She started to vocalize louder, causing him to work himself faster. Within seconds she reached her peak, tightening around him, releasing herself. Jacob’s heart was pounding in his chest; she could feel it against her own, both heartbeats in sync. Loving the feeling of him within her, she wrapped her legs around his waist to keep him in.
Autumn heard him shudder and felt him hold her tighter. She smiled contently, feeling him empty himself and whisper, “Oh god....oh god....” into her neck. Her legs remained clenched around his waist, keeping him pressed inside, so he could enjoy himself as much as he wanted without guilt.

This time, Autumn remembered everything, and it was incredible. Really incredible.
She didn't know if the sex was so good because she was pregnant or because sex with Jacob was always amazing, but she knew she wanted more.
“I can't believe I have to go back to Sarah and Shawn tonight...” Autumn sighed as she lay next to Jacob. “I'll probably throw up because of their snuggling...”
   “Why don't you stay here?”
“Stay here?” Autumn said. “Like, just tonight or...?”
“If you want...” Jacob cleared his throat. “But I was kind of thinking it would be a good idea if you... You know, lived here...”
“Really? Are you serious?” Autumn looked surprised.
“Yeah... I mean, I'll be right here if you need me and you won't get disturbed by Sarah and Shawn.”
“Sounds good.” Autumn grinned. “But we'll have to get my stuff from our apartment, and I'll have to tell Sarah, and...”
“Autumn, relax!” Jacob said. “We'll take care of it, don't worry.”
Jacob's phone beeped on his bedside table and he picked it up to check his new text message.
“Sweet!” He said with a grin. “Brynas won tonight and Jarnkrok scored!”
Autumn giggled.
“Why did you pronounce them in English?”
“I did?” Jacob said, putting back his phone. “Didn't notice.”
Autumn started playing with an edge of the sheet.
“Can you say them in Swedish instead?” She bit her lip.
   “What?” Jacob frowned. “Why?”
“I like it when you speak Swedish.” She pouted and he sighed.
   “For real?”
   “Yes. Please?”
Jacob sighed again and murmured the Swedish names.
“Sorry?” Autumn said. “Didn't catch that.”
   “Brynäs and Järnkrok... Happy?”
“Yes.” Autumn grinned. “I love it.”
   “Yeah, right...”
“I do! Please say something else?”
Jacob considered saying no, but remembered the way his mom used to react when someone denied her something, so he changed his mind.
“Fine... What do you want me to say?”
“Tell me your name and where you're from.” Autumn giggled.
“Jag heter Jacob Markström och jag kommer från Gälve.” He said without smiling, even the slightest. “This is ridiculous.” He added in English.
“No, it's great. Tell me... your job!”
“My job?” Jacob frowned. “I guess... Jag är hockeyspelare I Florida Panthers.” He sighed.
“That's so cute! Say it again!”
   “No, Autumn. Please.”
“Fine, one more thing... Say that you miss Sweden!”
“Jag saknar Sverige.” Autumn smiled again.
“Adorable.” She said, and Jacob smiled, at last.
“Och jag älskar dig.” He said.
   “What was that?” Autumn asked.
“Nothing. Never mind.” Jacob said, trying not to blush. He didn't know why he had just said that he loved her, but when he thought about it, it felt right. He did love her.
“I think the movie is over.” Autumn said and glanced out from Jacob's room, hearing some commercial on the TV.
“Yeah, but you've seen it like twenty times.” Jacob teased and kissed Autumn on her head. “Hey, are you falling asleep on me?” He asked when he saw her close her eyes and lean back.
“No...” Autumn mumbled. “I'm just resting my eyes.”
After saying this, she felt nauseous, so she hopped out of the bed and ran towards Jacob's bathroom. She managed to hold it in, and when she reached the toilet, Jacob was right behind her.
“Are you okay?” He asked, squatting next to her. He brushed some hair out of her face and rested his other hand on her back.
Autumn nodded and wiped her mouth with some toilet paper.
   “I'm fine.”
“I'm so sorry for this.” Jacob said, his head hanging.
Autumn couldn't help feeling sorry for him. She opened her mouth to speak, but felt the nausea sweep over her again, so she held up her finger to stop him from speaking.
“This is my fault as much as yours. I should be on the pill or something...”
Jacob brushed away the hair covering Autumn's face again and kissed her forehead before hugging her.
“I'd switch places with you if I could.” He whispered, making Autumn giggle. “What?”
“I was just imagining you being pregnant.” She said. “It's not a good look for you.”
Jacob rolled his eyes and stood up, pulling Autumn up with him.
They walked together into the living room, where Jacob took one of the pillows from the sofa and placed it under his shirt. He went over to the mirror, checked himself out and turned back to Autumn.
“I think it suits me well.” He said with a big smile.
Autumn sat down on the sofa and started laughing.
“It's so not a good look for you...” She gritted her teeth together to avoid laughing too much.”
“Well, I think I look good.” Jacob pouted, pretending to be upset.
“I prefer you the way you are.” Autumn said as she stood up and took the pillow from him.
“HEY, that's my baby!” Jacob exclaimed when Autumn threw the pillow back on to the sofa.
“No...” Autumn said, taking his hands and placing them on her stomach. “This is.”
Jacob didn't know how to respond, he simply stood there, looking puzzled.
“I was kidding around.” He said, pulling Autumn into a hug.
“I know.” Autumn smiled. “I just wanted to say that out loud.”
Autumn had finally, after freaking out and panicking, settled to having a baby. The thought of a miniature version of Jacob running around was enough to broaden anyone's mind.
And most definitely Autumn's.
